Participating in a seminar through the Foundation for Reformed Theology has been an integral part of my ministry. First, even after Dr. Leith’s death, it has served in a way to keep me “connected” to this man who was a great mentor in ministry and taught me so much.
Second, it has served to keep me grounded in Reformed theology.
Third, it has provided me with a group of colleagues in ministry that has been close and supportive like no other group of colleagues, even though we might actually see each other only once a year. I believe this is due to the quality of the ministers in the group, as well as our shared faith and values.
Finally, it has made me a better minister, improving my preaching, teaching, and pastoral
care. It is the best “continuing education” I have participated in since seminary
